the queen of the damned l AKASHA
(those who must be kept by anne rice)
Akasha is the Sanskrit word meaning “aether” in both its elemental and metaphysical senses. The name may represent the basis and essence of all things in the material world, the smallest material element created from the astral world, the conception of the cosmos or the Fifth Element.
Akasha is a selfish, empty, nihilistic person with no sense of morality, or human compassion; her actions are almost always based on her need to fill her own inner emptiness. Maharet describes her as the only true monster among them, because she refuses to acknowledge her own monstrosity. (x)
